Case Study: Inside Sales Offices
When Inside Sales, a prominent Utah-based company, relocated to a larger office space, they enlisted Rustica Hardware to create custom furniture and fixtures to match their vision. Partnering closely with the company’s owner and Rustica’s leadership, I led a team that worked with our wood and metal departments to design and fabricate a range of distinctive, high-quality pieces. This project showcased the creative and collaborative abilities of our team while delivering functional and stylish solutions for a dynamic workspace.
Custom Desks with Industrial Appeal
A huge part of the office renovation was a large steel-frame desk provided for hundreds of employees. Each desk featured an adjustable frame with lynch pins for height flexibility, paired with a rugged, knotty alder wood top. These desks balanced functionality and industrial style, making them ideal for a high-performance office environment.
File Cabinets and Hairpin Tables
Accompanying each desk was a custom rolling filing cabinet crafted from welded steel, topped with knotty alder, and accented with a leather strap lock. Additionally, we designed and fabricated hairpin-leg tables with matching alder tops and leather handles for ease of movement. These pieces combined practicality with refined details, adding a warm yet professional touch to the space.
Pyramid Lighting Fixtures
To elevate the office ambiance, we created pyramid-shaped hanging light fixtures from welded steel. These unique, geometric designs served as striking focal points, blending seamlessly with the industrial aesthetic of the furniture.
Meeting and Break Room Furniture
For the conference room and break room dining booths, we fabricated custom tables and benches with a combination of knotty alder and welded steel, reflecting the cohesive design language used throughout the project. In the break room, we installed cabinets and countertops that maintained the same rustic yet modern feel, ensuring functionality and a polished finish.
Steel-Framed Glass and Swinging Doors
The breakout rooms featured welded steel-framed glass doors, providing an open and collaborative feel to the office. Additionally, we installed patchwork welded swinging doors throughout the space, adding a bold, creative touch that tied into the industrial theme.
